Kylie Price, MSc Hons

Manager of the Hugh Green Cytometry Core (HGCC) facility at the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research, Wellington, New Zealand.

Kylie currently manages the HGCC at the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research where she has worked for the past 12 years. She has been responsible for the development of a cutting-edge core facility and Professor Rod Dunbar University of Auckland, Director of the Maurice Wilkins Centre for Molecular Discovery, has credited her with pioneering the use of multicolour flow cytometry in New Zealand. In 2014 the HGCC purchased a new 6-laser Influx cell sorter housing 22 detectors and a new FV1200 confocal microscope.

Kylie is an active member of the International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC), she is an author of the upcoming Course on Proliferation to be offered by CYTO University, and has presented tutorials at the past three CYTO conferences regarding ‘How to Measure Cell Proliferation by Flow Cytometry’.  Kylie enjoys teaching new users from a wide range of scientific backgrounds, about the power, flexibility and vast range of applications for flow cytometry.
