Flow Cytometry Technical Officer

The Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre sees the co-location of major research instrumentation in the University in purpose built, high-grade facilities.

The Biological Resources Imaging Laboratory is a unit within MWAC that provides high level preclinical imaging and flow cytometry capabilities to researchers. The facility provides support to investigators in fields of medicine, science and engineering from within UNSW and external institutions.

About the role

  • Fixed Term for a period of 24 months, with the possibility of an extension.
  • Full-time

This is a research-support position in the UNSW flow cytometry facility, which forms part of the Biological Resources Imaging Laboratory of the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre at UNSW. The Flow Cytometry Technical Officer will maintain and operate flow cytometry instrumentation at a high level under the direction of the Flow Cytometry Scientist.

About you

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to assist multiple users across a number of disciplines. As a member of the BRIL team, the successful applicant will also assist with general lab administration tasks and wider activities of BRIL and MWAC as required.
